Nowadays it is compulsory to make the difference with a good and original CV. This document should convince the recruiter that you are the perfect candidate and should give him curiosity to know you better.

At the first look, the recruiter will give priority to the general presentation of the CV, the education, the languages and experiences. These information should be clearly and precisely describe and you should avoid incorrect spelling! Thus, do not hesitate to ask someone to correct your CV.

The CV should generally be written in one page, in a simple police and without incorrect spelling. For a better visibility, it is desirable to write the dates on the left and the explanation on the right.

It is also interesting to put the name of the internship/job in the heading of your CV linked to the offer you are interested in.

Content

1. Civil status

At the top on the right, the contact details:

• Name and SURNAME                           
• Address                                                                      
• Age or birthday                                                                           
• Phone number                                                                
• Email                                             

2. Education

For each diploma, write the date on the left and the name of the diploma and the school and the right. You should start with the most recent training. 

Example:

June 2013 : Bachelor in Languages, La Sorbonne University, Paris.

3. Professional experience

Put your professional experiences starting from the most recent to the oldest. Do not forget to specify:

• associative experiences
• school projects  

Example :

 June-August 2010 : Trade unit trainee – CAMAIEU – Metz, France

• Balanced scorecards setting up
• Suppliers’ research
• Customer relationship management data processing
• Project management

4. Skills

Within this section, you should specify :

• Language levels: score in TOEFL/TOEIC/WIdaf/etc.
• Computer skills (software, etc.)
• Driven licence
• etc.

5. Hobbies

It is valuable to link your extra professional activity to the internship/job you are applying for: a team sport shows that you like to work in team, working in a association is a proof of your commitment.
