Of course, it’s possible to take your driving test in Barcelona, even if you’re French! What’s more, the procedure is much quicker and the price lower than in France. Some driving schools even offer courses in French! So why deprive yourself? Why not take your driving lessons and get your license during your internship in Barcelona?
In Barcelona, the exam is computer-based, so you can choose the French language. You’ll have to answer 30 questions in 30 minutes, and the result will be announced the next day.
One of the special features of Spain is that you can take the driving test without having previously obtained your Highway Code. What’s more, you don’t need to complete a minimum number of driving hours to take the driving test.
Whereas in France, you may have to pay up to €1,800, in Spain, prices range from €650 to €1,100. A significant price differential. What’s more, if you fail your driving test, you’ll have to wait much less time to retake it. The reason is simple: in France, we’re short of inspectors, which is not the case in Barcelona and Spain.
We recommend Stop N’Drive driving school, which offers courses in Spanish as well as French and English. This organization, founded in 2014, also offers an accelerated formula enabling you to obtain your license in 1 or 1.5 months at most.
