FAMILIES' COMMITMENT TO PARTICIPANTS IN SPAIN

Being a Stud&Globe partner host family goes beyond simply renting a room: each accommodation is visited by a member of our team, and a collaboration contract is signed in which the family representative of the accommodation acknowledges his or her responsibilities as a host.

OUR MAIN DESTINATIONS

Depending on the destination, participants are welcomed by host families selected by our team and local correspondents.

Frequently asked questions

On arrival, depending on your arrival time, either the families will be waiting for you at a meeting point or we will organize cabs from the airport/station to your accommodation. We recommend that you introduce yourself, create a whatsapp group to facilitate communication and ask your host to explain the house rules: meal times, laundry, keys, etc. You can also use this opportunity to communicate your culinary preferences, special diets or allergies! Communication is essential to ensure a pleasant stay with your Spanish host family!

Meals in Spain follow a particular rhythm, often later than in other European countries. Lunch is taken around 2:00 pm / 3:00 pm and dinner between 9:00 pm and 11:00 pm. If you choose full board, you’ll have breakfast (quite light and salty in Spain!), a sandwich at lunchtime with a drink and a piece of fruit, and a hot meal in the evening. Half board includes breakfast and lunch. Access to the kitchen is not permitted, so if you wish to use the fridge for your own food, please ask for permission.

Yes, all of Stud&Globe’s accommodation is located close to public transport (bus, metro, streetcar). You’ll find it easy to get around the city, whether for study, work or leisure. Accessibility to transport is an essential point that we always take into account to guarantee your comfort and make it easier to get around during your stay.

Yes, the host family has a great deal of experience with foreign students and young interns. They have welcomed several young people from different countries over the years and have always made sure to offer them a warm and welcoming environment. They are used to dealing with cultural diversity and the specific needs of international students and trainees. Thanks to this experience, they know how to facilitate integration into the local family and culture, and are always ready to share their knowledge to make the experience as enriching as possible.

If you have a problem with your host family, Stud&Globe is here to help. However, it’s important to stress that communication is the key to avoiding conflict. In the vast majority of cases, misunderstandings can be resolved simply by talking openly with the family. We therefore encourage you to express your needs and concerns in a respectful manner. That said, if a problem persists, Stud&Globe will be there to support you and intervene if necessary. Our aim is to ensure that your experience runs as smoothly as possible.
