The Erasmus+ grant enables you to cover part of the cost of living in the country of your choice. So, depending on your destination, the amount will vary. It also depends on whether you’re doing an internship or studying.
Accommodation costs are calculated according to the standard of living in the host country. (accommodation, meals, transport, etc.)
To qualify for an Erasmus+ grant, your school and the partner school hosting you must sign the Erasmus+ Charter. You must apply directly to your school’s internship or international relations department.
Don’t delay too long! It’s advisable to start preparing for your move between 6 and 12 months in advance.
Good news for you: you can estimate the amount of your Erasmus + grant with our online simulator.

The Erasmus+ scholarship can be combined with other grants:
It works in the same way as the Erasmus grant. To benefit from the international mobility grant, you need to be in the same situation (internship or university exchange abroad), and it’s your school that studies and approves your application. The only difference is that this aid is only available to students with a higher education grant based on social criteria.
There are many other grants you can apply for as a student wishing to undertake international mobility. Most of these grants are available from the départements and regions of France, some of which offer specific grants for their residents. The Ile de France region provides international mobility assistance for students on university exchange abroad. We invite you to contact your department to find out if they offer grants for students in your situation.
